Play Therapy for Children 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is particularly helpful for people dealing with self-regulation, suicidal thinking, Borderline Personality Disorder and Interpersonal Effectiveness. DBT teaches effective coping skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.

Play therapy has been shown to be an effective intervention for children dealing with trauma, abuse, emotional and behavioral problems. Children begin to identify and process emotions in healthy ways, all while building a strong foundation of trust and respect. By creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can feel comfortable expressing themselves through play,  promotes healing and growth.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a powerful approach that helps individuals and couples heal from emotional pain and develop stronger, healthier relationships. Through empathetic attunement and a focus on attachment and emotions, clients are guided towards finding new meanings to old beliefs and overcoming anxiety and other emotional obstacles. 

At our psychology clinic, we offer Brainspotting Therapy as an alternative therapy for those who have experienced trauma. Our approach uses spots in your visual field to help access the trauma that may be trapped in subcortical areas of your brain. By accessing these areas, we can help you process your past traumas, emotions and learning in a safe and controlled environment.
