Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT #139877

Hello and welcome! Are you struggling with life-stressors, relational difficulties, parenting challenges, grief, trauma, or truly knowing who you are and what makes you happy? I would be honored to guide you through your healing journey and provide you with the space and tools to overcome life’s challenges. To put it simply life can be hard! Taking the steps to invest in yourself and your happiness is the best gift.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and graduated in 2004 with my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most crucial factor in achieving a successful counseling experience and I will provide a safe and supportive environment where we will learn from each other. I am confident that each unique individual has the capacity within themselves to heal, change, and grow.

“What’s my role in my own suffering?” is one of the most healing questions that we don’t ask enough. The great news is that by looking inward you will be in the driver’s seat of your own therapeutic journey whether that involves rediscovering your authentic self, becoming aware of unhealthy behavioral patterns, or mending relationships.

My passion for helping others began at an early age and naturally progressed to pursuing a career in the mental health field. I am extremely passionate about helping others and I love what I do! I approach therapy with a solution focused, strength-based and trauma informed background. My therapeutic approach utilizes Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have experience working with a myriad of issues including depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, borderline-personality disorder, infidelity, grief, and trauma.

On a personal note, I have been married for almost 25 years and have three children ranging in ages from 13 to 20-years-old. Both my marriage as well as raising my children and the life experiences I’ve gained being a wife and mother have been significant assets in how I approach therapy. I have found that not taking yourself too seriously and having a sense of humor can make day-to-day challenges more bearable!
